The Simulation Package license of Plant Simulation supports the execution of complex simulation studies. This license is especially suited for employing the distributed simulation, for employing neural networks and for the use of optimization tools, such as genetic algorithms. The use of several Simulation Licenses allows to run experiments with different parameters, control logics, random number streams or layouts in parallel to arrive at results considerably faster. The Simulation Package license of Plant Simulation does not have a graphical user interface. You can neither visualize the simuluation model nor manually change the model.
The number of objects within the model is unlimited. The Simulation license contains the Plant Simulation interfaces ActiveX, COM, DDE, ODBC, SQL for Oracle, Socket and XML as well as the Assembly library and the Shop library for production planning. You can also run models, which contain the Plant Simulation Gantt Chart, but you cannot visualize them with a Simulation license. If you want to use the SDX interface for importing SDX data or the Process Designer - Plant Simulation interface for automatically creating a simulation model, you have to purchase separate licenses for these two features.
